Rosewill here, Rosewill there, Rosewill everywhere. About the only other place you can find Rosewill products are on Chiefvalue.com. Most of their offerings seem to be geared towards the budget minded purchaser, and sometimes there's a tendency towards lower quality in budget categories. Is that the case here? Well, let's back up a bit and tell you a little about why we're reviewing Rosewill products today. 
Even enthusiast site editors have to buy hardware. I know it's a shock, sorry to crush your dreams of being a hardware reviewer. Nigel and I happened to need a couple of extra cases and other goodies to help us build systems and expedite reviews. Newegg.com is where we ended up, and since we have a budget we must work within (yes, shattering more of your dreams here, but the truth is this is a business like any other), when we got down to cases we decided to just go with "serviceable and inexpensive". Looking at specs and photographs of several Rosewill cases really caught our attention, so we decided to purchase two of these. As you can see above, these aren't very expensive cases. We decided to go ahead and review these two cases because we were pretty impressed with the build quality of them. Also, because they're internally more or less identical we decided to review them as a pair. As is our custom, let's take a look at the ever present and titillating "Specifications" before we go on a photo fest. We'll only be posting the specs of the R6AS5-BK, to avoid screams of redundancy. |
