We were also slightly disappointed with the installation of the case's two side fans. The rubber molding is cut short and doesn't fit correctly. This is unfortunate, because otherwise the installation was well done. Xoxide even used rubber washers to prevent isolate fan vibration, cutting down on system noise. The additional side fans will definitely help keep overall system temperatures "in the green". The fans used are 80mm DFS802512Ms, manufactured by CRE. They are rated at 30CFM (26 dBA) with a rotational speed of 2500RPM. These fans are very quiet and push a good deal of air. It would be nice to see filters on these fans, but overall we were satisfied with Xoxide's work in this area. The SS Warrior includes the following drive bays: four external 5.25", two external 3.5", and 4 internal 3.5". The internal 3.5" bays are part of a separate cage, but we were disappointed to find that this cage cannot be removed. This is a common feature on today's cases, and makes installation much easier. Also, there is no drive rail system so standard screws are required. Overall though, the Warrior SS uses a standard drive mounting system that should work fine for most users. For a mid sized case, there is ample interior room. Large motherboards or full-size expansion cards should present no difficulty. The case dimensions are 19.3" x 17.7" x 8.3" (H x W x D), and the case follows the ATX standard. A rear fan is also included to further assist with airflow through the system. The I/O panel included is standard and is also color coded. If you are installing a motherboard with a proprietary I/O configuration then you can easily remove the stock I/O panel and install the one that came with your motherboard. The most exciting feature of the SS Warrior is a removable motherboard tray. Removable motherboard trays let one easily install the motherboard, CPU, heatsink, RAM, and expansion cards while outside of the case, preventing a lot of frustration. If a person is often swapping any of these components, this is an awesome feature to have. We were also pleasantly surprised to find the tray both light and sturdy. We feel that all cases should have motherboard trays because they make things so much easer, and the SS Warrior grants this wish. The tray is secured in place by thumb screws and easily slides out. Case side panels and expansion cards also use thumbscrews. This is another great addition to the case, but savvy system builders will also take the time to tighten everything with a screwdriver. Thumbscrews sometimes tend to work themselves loose, possibly causing issues if you transport the system. The SS Warrior has four plastic feet for extra support. This case is very light and if knocked hard might actually tip over. It would be nice to see metal feet used because plastic is more prone to damage, especially on the floor. Overall the feet add a nice touch to the case, and plastic feet are certainly better than none.
