The outside
The first and most obvious feature of the X300 is the unique window. Not just a straight square window like most Premoded cases. It looks somewhat like a flower, with a nice clear fan in the middle
Next, right above it there are small slits near the top edge of the case. Used for heat emissions, since heat rises (makes sense). It’s teamed up with an 80mm Fan vent at the top, which allows for optimum heat explosion. There was a tiny dent on the review case we got. Shipping takes the blame for that. So, don’t worry about that too much. If it does happen to you, Xoxide has very good customer service.
In the front, near the bottom of the case is a door, which opens showing 2 USB slots, a headphone and a mic jack. Above that is the necessary reset and power switches. When turned on, the power switch glows blue via a blue LED in the back, pretty nifty. It has two 4 inch bay slots, for your floppy drives, zip drives, ect... Above that it has the standard four five inch bay slots, for your optical drives. The bezel is basically a normal bezel, with a silver slip of paper, and a piece of acrylic on top of it. The back sports your Standard I/O cover panel, which caused a little problem with the motherboard used in testing, so it had to be removed. But most motherboards come with a new cover plate, so that shouldn’t be a problem if you still have it. There are also two fan holes in the back, to aid with airflow. If you notice, there are some holes next to your card slots, you could possibly hook a 40-50 mm fan up to it, but it’s not necessary. There is one small annoyance though. Xoxide put the switch for the cold cathode light in the very back of the case. That makes it hard for people who put their computers in their desks. They have to go all the way behind the desk to switch it on and off. But it is removable if you want to change its location.
As far as the right side goes, like all other cases it’s pretty bare. Except for a handle like imprint into the metal, not a huge necessity since you rarely open the right side, but still useful none the less.
