Contents look pretty normal for a doorknob, except for the out-of-place 4 AAA battery holder and a user guide that you actually will need to read if you ever want to open your door again after installing this doorknob. The finish of the doorknob is absolutely beautiful, the pictures really don't do justice to the gold and chrome finish, looks like the fancy expensive doorknob of a New York City top floor loft, and the addition of the digital keypad looks as if it came from the set of a big-budget hollywood movie about high-tech espionage.
The power is supplied by 4 AA batteries (not included) contained inside the door handle.
The "battery pack", which is my designation for the portion of the door handle that contains the batteries since the instructions never call it anything but "battery", has a 3-pin plug and master code reset button if you ever change the master code and need to reset the handle to factory settings. |
