Page 4 of 6 Adjustment and Performance
When powering up the monitor for the first time, FastSilicon.com found that
two settings were not set to our tastes. The brightness and contrast levels were set
at their highest. Setting both of these to "50" from a "100" proved to provide
a much cleaner visual experience. Pressing the "A" button to auto
adjust the screen to the current resolution is sufficient for most people.
However, the options for those that like to perfect their display settings are
all present and accounted for. The selections on the base menu from right to
left are brightness levels, contrast levels, color settings, OSD settings, other
settings, input settings, and exit. Under color settings, the standard color
temperature settings such as 5500, 6500, and 9300 are on hand. In addition, there is a
user color option, where the ability to control individual color levels are
available. After that, there are the OSD options, which include position, time
out, transparency, color, language, and exit. Following the OSD options are the
input settings which allow manual switching between Analog and Digital inputs
on the fly. This is very useful for doubling up two computers on one monitor. Finally,
there is the Exit option and that is self-clarifying.
