The guys over @ H-Console picked up a new story @ Gamespot. They seem to think that Microsoft has some plans up it's sleeves to counter the launches of next generation game consoles by Nintendo & Sony.

Even though the possibility of a price drop has been ruled out, the head of the Xbox 360 Euro division says they have surprises up their sleeves for Nintendo and Sony. Maybe we can talk MS into bundling the HD-DVD p_layer_?

"I don't want to reveal any plans at the moment because we want to keep a number of surprises up our sleeve," he told the magazine. "We will ensure we are good value, and we'll do that through having a variety of pricing on games, a variety of pricing on console offers."
