Conclusions...

I hope with this, and the last two preview articles, you have at least a basic understanding of where you might stand with WindowsXP, and whether either version of Microsoft's newest operating system will be right for you.

Suggested retail pricing of full versions of XP Home and XP Pro are $199 and $299 respectively, although upgrade versions should be cheaper, and retailers will probably be discounting after launch. One path (although one Microsoft doesnt particularly care for) you might persue, are OEM copies which have been available officially since September 25th, are are seemingly plentiful online. These copies come sans the fancy box, but are usually significantly cheaper. (Check the FIND LOW PRICE network link for a LOW LOW price on XP Pro Upgrade Version).

My experience throughout the process of bringing WindowsXP to fruition has been largely a pleasant one, and I'm confident that many people will find a version of Microsoft WindowsXP to suit there needs. I wouldn't use anything else at this point.
