Sony Micro Drive Tiny 2GB

Final Thoughts

thumb_sonydriveThe only thing really lacking from Sony's pico-sized wonder is U3 compatibility, which provides a standard for running applications directly from a removable drive. U3 is becoming popular as a value-add considering how commodotized the USB flash drive market has become, and is a surprising omission when it comes to a top-end product like the Micro Vault Tiny. However, this is not a complete loss, as many non-U3 portable applications are available such as those found at PortableApps.com

Priced around $89, Sony's offering is significantly more expensive than other 2GB flash drives.  However, the small form factor makes it simpler to keep one's data on their person at all times so it may be worth it.  The USM-2GH may not be for everyone, but for those who value extreme portability it's worth a look.
